Are Criminal Records Public In Wyoming? Yes, according to Wyoming’s Sunshine Act, anyone can request a criminal record. While the standard for criminal record collection and storage varies from county to county, the majority of criminal documents are organized in a central repository managed by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

The Wyoming Sunshine Law allows makes the access of criminal records and all other public records available to the public. There are certain exceptions to who can access certain records, such as employers checking a job applicants arrest record. For the most part though, anyone can ask for a criminal record without needing to state the reason why.
